Patchwork Families

Mother-Father-Child – nowadays it is often not that easy anymore. Family structures are created which do not always blend together smoothly.

Often differing wishes, ideas and concepts of the different members of the existing or to-be-formed patchwork family clash and a good communication flow is necessary in order to meet all needs.

Sometimes the grieving process about the separation, divorce or death of the former partner is not completed yet and adults or children have to adjust to the new situation. Sometimes there is confusion about the new distribution of roles, questions of authority, belonging and jurisdiction have to be worked out. Sometimes children are not happy with the new partners of their parents or have problems accepting them.
